about hannah rose

When Hannah Rose, a 22 year old fireball from Southern California, hits the stage, all eyes are riveted. Hannah started singing as a 6 year old. At the age of 12 she taught herself how to play the piano and began experimenting with songwriting. When she picked up guitar at age 15 her world changed and she began taking songwriting more seriously. The inspiration for her songs comes from life events and personal experiences, striving to be completely transparent and authentic.

In 2008 Hannah was given the opportunity to sing "Amazing Grace" with LeAnn Rimes. Hannah and her family were on Extreme Makeover Home Edition, and LeAnn was the special guest for their episode. This is when Hannah’s love for country music was born. In December of 2011, Hannah was signed to a Christian music label after being noticed while singing on the worship team at her church. She released her first self-titled album, Hannah Rose, in May of 2013, an album filled with inspirational pop songs and reflective ballads with honest and thoughtful lyrics. Hannah then set out for a month long tour to schools, churches, and camps to promote her record.

After two years of traveling to promote her album, Hannah felt a calling to those outside of the Christian market. This explains her 2015 decision to move from christian music to country. Hannah loves that the country genre is accepting of Christianity and therefore feels confident to share her faith with listeners, while rocking out to all the beer raising, yee hawing country songs.

In July of 2015, Hannah joined the online country music competition known as Nash Next. Nash Country Weekly worded the competition as “an artist development competition aimed at discovering and releasing music from prominent and talented newcomers.” The judges for this competition were huge, from Kix Brooks and James Stroud, to Scooter Braun and Scott Brochetta. Scott and his wife served as mentors to the final ten during the music video/animation challenge, as well as announcing a partnership with Cumulus and Nash, and started Nash Icon. Hannah Rose finished third in the competition, thanks to the online support and votes from fans, and was rewarded with a 2016 tour with the Nash Next Top Ten finalists. The finalists played shows with country music sweetheart, and The Voice contestant, Raelynn as well as Cassadee Pope.

Since the 2015 competition, Hannah Rose has opened for Rodney Atkins, Chase Bryant, Josh Thompson and Canaan Smith. She is planning many trips to Nashville in 2017 in hopes to take her country music career to the next level. Be on the lookout for the rising star that is Hannah Rose.
